Ghana: end of Enterprise Africa Summit

Enterprise Africa Summit is an international meeting of entrepreneurs organized annually by the British Council Ghana. The curtains have fallen on this year’s edition which goes straight into the annals of history. The Summit, which took place from the 22nd to the 24th March, was marked by panels led by seasoned entrepreneurs, a panel of discussion on Africa’s competitiveness in the global digital economy with MainOne and CERTGhana and Women in technology, Entrepreneurship & innovation session.

Its objective is to bring together business leaders from sub-Saharan Africa and the UK to explore the role of entrepreneurship in building sustainable and resilient economies in Africa.The « TedX Innovative Ideas » competition organized during these two days of meetings was a golden pitcher opportunity for the participants to talk about their business ideas in a short space of time. At the end, 5 finalists were selected and awarded.

« What I can say is that the Anglophones are very dynamic and there are plenty of business opportunities; In addition to their mindset, they understood that school as we know is not the most important; failure does not exist, it is in fact a process of life and whatever one seeks, one will become successful but on condition of being determined … One must dream big and absolutely not give oneself « Said Pio Tchedou, Togo’s ambassador to the summit and manager of Limpio Studio. The British Council is the UK’s international organization for cultural relations and educational opportunities.
